Uyo, Nigeria is gearing up to be the center stage for the Nigerian Fashion and lifestyle community as the Uyo Fashion Week returns for its third season this September, promising an even grander spectacle than its previous editions.
The upcoming Uyo Fashion Week 2024 will be a vibrant display of fashion, lifestyle, creativity, talent, and cultural richness, under the theme “Creativity, Commercialization, and Scale”. This year’s event carries special significance with the backing of the Akwa Ibom State Government and aligns with the State’s 37th Anniversary celebrations.
The UFW24 agenda includes masterclasses, workshops, a mini retail mart, and premium runway shows named “Ayaya” and “Asiaan”, along with the “ARISE Runway Show” aimed at promoting emerging designers, inspired by the Akwa Ibom State’s development plan – The Arise Agenda.
The schedule for UFW24 activities is as follows:
Friday, 20th September, 2024
- 9 am – 1 pm: Masterclasses/Workshops
- 4 pm: Opening Ceremony, Keynote Address
- 5 pm – 6.30 pm: Arise Runway Show
Saturday, 21st September, 2024
- 9 am – 1 pm: Masterclasses/Workshop
- 4 pm: Ayaya Runway Show
- 6 pm: Asiaan Runway show
UFW24 is expected to draw fashion and lifestyle enthusiasts nationwide and will take place at Ibom Hall, Uyo, with the masterclasses at Nelson Mandela Hall of Wattbridge Hotel, Uyo.
The event will feature prominent celebrities from the entertainment industry and speakers like Udeme Ufot, Farouk Khailan, Dare Lawal, Fal Funmi Ladipo, Joy Aggrey, Annie Essienette, Clemas Efanga, Enoabasi Emah, and Joseph Edgar.
All UFW24 activities are open to the public and offer a platform for fashion lovers, creatives, aspiring designers, models, and the general populace to engage with the fashion community.
