At a construction site in Thailand’s capital, a tragic incident occurred when a crane collapsed, resulting in the loss of lives. Reports indicate that four individuals lost their lives, with efforts ongoing to recover a fifth body from the wreckage. The construction workers were involved in building a tollway on Rama II road, a significant highway connecting Bangkok to the southern part of the country. Tragically, among the deceased were three Thai nationals. Authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the collapse. Eyewitnesses described hearing loud noises before witnessing the crane’s fall while workers were in the midst of pouring cement. Sadly, construction accidents are not uncommon in Thailand due to insufficient safety regulations enforcement, leading to such devastating incidents. Previous crane collapses in different locations have resulted in fatalities and injuries, highlighting the importance of stringent safety measures at construction sites.
