A political party in Nigeria has suggested that President Bola Tinubu should seek advice from former President Goodluck Jonathan regarding the economic challenges facing the country.
This recommendation followed protests against recent fuel price increases by the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Organised Private Sector.
The NNPC retail stations raised petrol prices in various locations, leading to public outcry due to the second price hike within a month.
The National Secretary of the political party criticized the current administration for its handling of the economic crisis, expressing doubts about their ability to provide effective solutions.
He emphasized the importance of seeking advice from experienced individuals like Goodluck Jonathan to navigate the country out of hardship.
In response, the ruling party dismissed the NNPP’s suggestions, questioning their ability to govern effectively and proposing discussions at the National Council of State to address the country’s economic challenges.
