Gov’s wife urges youth to leverage technology

During the grand finale of the Ikorodu Division’s Second Edition of Inter-School Debate Competition for public secondary schools, the wife of the Lagos State Governor encouraged Nigerian youths to utilize technology to advance their learning process.

A total of 16 public secondary schools participated in the three-week-long competition, which was organized by the Ikorodu Local Government in partnership with several individuals from the community.

Emphasizing the importance of integrating technology into education, she highlighted its role in enhancing teaching and learning.

She stressed the need to equip students with the necessary tools to compete globally and prepare them to excel academically.

Encouraging stakeholders to advocate for quality education, she underscored the importance of guiding youths to discover their potential and acquire relevant skills to succeed in various fields.

The aim is to raise competent leaders who will contribute to the progress of Lagos State and Nigeria.

The Ikorodu Local Government Chairman, in his address, commended the students for their participation in the debate, citing the initiative as a means to enhance their critical thinking and communication skills.

He expressed pride in the students’ dedication to learning and noted that the competition aimed to equip them with the confidence and knowledge necessary for their academic and professional journeys.

Prizes were awarded to the winners, with the top prize including a cash gift and a laptop, recognizing the efforts and talents of the participants.
