The recent approval by the Federal Government to establish a Creative Economy Fund has garnered support from the Chairman and facilitator of the Faculty of Business Assets and Intellectual Property Valuation. The fund, backed by $200m from AfreximBank, aims to support individuals in the creative industry. There is a call for inclusive consultations with relevant stakeholders, particularly registered valuers, to ensure the success of this initiative.
The experts commend the government for the initiative, highlighting its potential to provide opportunities for youths and steer them away from unemployment. They stress the need for professional groups or associations within the creative industry to facilitate effective communication and management of the fund.
