Kenneth Imasuagbon, a former governorship aspirant known as the ‘Riceman,’ recently visited an Internally Displaced Persons camp in Edo State to provide relief items and support. He emphasized the importance of recognizing and honoring humanitarian workers who assist vulnerable communities. Imasuagbon, accompanied by his wife, highlighted the need for ongoing support for those affected by conflicts and disasters.
During his visit, Imasuagbon called on the Federal Government to acknowledge individuals involved in humanitarian efforts and suggested that awards should be given based on merit rather than questionable character. He encouraged young people to stay focused on education to become future leaders in nation-building.
Imasuagbon also mentioned the significance of President Bola Tinubu’s role in inspiring national development and advocated for deserving individuals like Pastor Solomon Folorunsho to receive national recognition for their impactful work. He urged the Edo State governor to support the camp and called on the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs to provide assistance.
Imasuagbon’s wife, Kate, expressed their love and care for the camp’s residents, emphasizing the annual Christmas visit as a gesture of compassion. Pastor Folorunsho appreciated the visitors’ support and appealed for further assistance, particularly in helping graduates find employment opportunities.
