Sir Shina Peters, the renowned Afro-Juju musician, shared that his recent ordination as a bishop was a result of a divine calling. In 2021, he was ordained at the Cherubim and Seraphim Church of God in Lagos. Peters explained that the church leadership received a divine instruction regarding his ordination, which had been foretold years earlier. According to him, God specifically chose him for this role due to his consistent use of hymns in his music, which has helped bring many people to Christ. Despite initially trying to avoid the ordination, Peters eventually accepted it after feeling compelled by God.
Reflecting on his career, Peters expressed gratitude for his journey and credited God for his success. He mentioned that he seeks continued enlightenment and grace from God. Looking ahead, he hinted at something unique in store for his fans.
