Abia State’s governor, in a recent announcement, expressed a strong commitment to completing all projects initiated by the administration, ensuring that abandoned projects become a thing of the past in the state. The governor emphasized the importance of securing funding before commencing any project to ensure timely completion and quality execution.
During a flag-off ceremony for the reconstruction of the Owerrinta-Umuekea Road, the governor reiterated the government’s dedication to improving road infrastructure as a key component of economic transformation and overall development. He emphasized that roads play a crucial role in attracting investments and fostering progress across the state.
The governor highlighted the significance of the Owerrinta-Umuekea Road project, which aims to enhance travel experiences for commuters from neighboring states. He also mentioned the state’s commendable financial management, noting that Abia ranks among the states with zero indebtedness to contractors, as reported by the National Bureau of Statistics.
Furthermore, the governor stressed the administration’s focus on infrastructure development, stating that all roads within Abia are a priority regardless of their classification.
