ICYMI: Bandits order Niger residents to vacate estate or get killed

A group of individuals believed to be bandits has reportedly issued a threat to the residents of M.I Wushishi Estate in Minna, Niger State, instructing them to leave the area or face harm. The incident occurred while many male residents were away at work, with the bandits causing damage to property within the estate.

Following a report made to a local police station about illegal mining activities in the neighborhood, the attack by the suspected bandits took place, resulting in vandalism and destruction of cars and homes. Residents, including high-ranking civil servants, have expressed fear and concern over the safety of their homes in the face of such threats.

The Niger State Police Command has confirmed the incident, stating that law enforcement responded to a distress call and intervened to restore peace in the area. Investigations are ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
