Nollywood actress and producer, Adanma Luke, recently made a heartfelt plea for forgiveness from the public regarding a tragic boat accident that claimed the lives of actor John Odonwodo, also known as Junior Pope, and four others. Luke, who produced the film “The Other Side of Life” in which the deceased actors were involved, expressed her deep sorrow and depression over the incident in a video shared on her Instagram page.
Despite facing criticism online, Luke apologized to Nigerians for the loss of their loved ones and shared her struggles with depression and inability to work since the tragedy. She emphasized her regret and the challenges she has faced, including financial strain while supporting the families of the deceased.
Luke also discussed the circumstances leading to the accident, mentioning her concerns about safety measures and the assurances given by her team. The Actors Guild of Nigeria reportedly placed restrictions on actors participating in Luke’s productions following the incident.
