The Imo State Police Command has reported the arrest of a landlord for shooting a boy named Paul who entered his property to retrieve a ball during a football game. The incident occurred at Urban Secondary School field in Owerri, Imo State, where Paul and his schoolmates were playing. The ball went into the landlord’s house, prompting Paul to jump in and get it. Unfortunately, he was shot in the waist and is currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
The Police Public Relations Officer for Imo State Police Command confirmed the arrest of the landlord and stated that an investigation is ongoing. Paul’s guardian, Jonathan Odikanwa, expressed concern for his son’s well-being and requested prayers for his recovery. The boy is awaiting surgery to address issues with his bowel movements.
Paul has been under the care of the Odikanwa family for eight years and is a student at Urban Secondary School Owerri. The family is focused on supporting his recovery and appreciates any prayers during this challenging time.
