President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Iran is not seeking war with Israel but is prepared to respond appropriately to recent strikes on Iranian military sites. He emphasized Iran’s commitment to defending its nation and country against aggression from the Zionist regime. Recent tensions in the region, according to Pezeshkian, are a result of Israel’s aggression and the support it receives from the US.
Pezeshkian also mentioned that the US failed to fulfill its promise to end the conflict in exchange for Iran’s restraint. Iran has been vocal about calling for an end to the Gaza war and supports various armed groups in the region, including Hamas and Hezbollah.
Overall, Iran’s stance is focused on defending its interests and responding to provocations, rather than actively seeking conflict with Israel.
