Jandor meets Tinubu, Atiku, others amid ongoing consultations

The former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State, Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran, commonly known as Jandor, has been engaged in political consultations after resigning from the Peoples Democratic Party. His spokesperson, Gbenga Ogunleye, revealed that he recently met with President Bola Tinubu, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and other notable leaders.

The meeting with President Tinubu took place on Monday, as confirmed by Ogunleye. Jandor has also held discussions with Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former President Ibrahim Babangida, former Head of State Gen. Abdusalami Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the SDP in the 2023 general elections, Prince Adewole Adebayo, and other national leaders.

Following his resignation, leaders from the PDP visited Jandor to request a reconsideration, but his next steps remain undisclosed. He will convene with political associates and stakeholders in Lagos over the weekend and address the media on Monday, 17th March 2025.

Jandor cited indiscipline and anti-party activities as reasons for leaving the PDP, expressing disappointment in the national leadership for allegedly misleading him on the eve of the state’s governorship election.
