The Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi, is currently mourning the loss of his eldest son, Abdulwahab, who tragically passed away in a motor accident. This unfortunate event occurred shortly after the governor’s mother, Maryam Namadi, also passed away due to a brief illness.
Reports indicate that Abdulwahab was returning from Kafin Hausa to Dutse with friends when the vehicle he was driving lost control, resulting in a somersault. Sadly, Abdulwahab did not survive the accident, while some of his friends are receiving medical treatment at Dutse General Hospital.
In an official statement, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Hamisu Gumel, confirmed the heartbreaking news and announced the ongoing burial rites in Kafin Hausa town following Islamic traditions. Abdulwahab, aged 24, is survived by his parents, Governor Umar Namadi and his wife, along with his siblings.
The entire state is in shock over these tragic events, and many residents are offering their condolences and support to the governor and his family during this difficult time.
