Jigawa JSC orders three Sharia judges to resign

The Jigawa Judicial Service Commission recently took action against several court officials following allegations of misconduct. The commission received reports concerning the illegal sale of court exhibits, misappropriation of funds, judicial misconduct, and improper handling of cases by various court personnel.

As a result of these investigations, three Sharia court judges were directed to resign, and the appointments of three officers were terminated. The commission emphasized that such actions were in violation of the state’s Judiciary Scheme of Service and were considered serious misconduct.

The commission also issued warnings to other court officials for actions such as converting civil matters into criminal cases, showing bias, and using inappropriate language towards litigants. These warnings were issued to uphold the standards of judicial neutrality and professionalism within the Jigawa State Judiciary.

The Jigawa State Judicial Service Commission reiterated its dedication to upholding judicial integrity and ensuring a fair working environment for all employees within the judiciary.
