The Governor of Kaduna State recently revealed the completion of 10 new asphalt roads in the city. The goal behind these projects is to enhance connectivity, security, and economic opportunities for residents, farmers, and business owners. This unveiling ceremony represents a significant step towards improving infrastructure and the overall quality of life for the people of Kaduna.
During the event, Governor Sani expressed his satisfaction with the finished roads, which were initiated back in February. He emphasized that these roads will not only improve connectivity and accessibility but also reduce travel time, enhance security, promote trade and commerce, and encourage social interactions among citizens in Kaduna and its surroundings.
Governor Sani highlighted the crucial role of well-constructed roads in driving economic growth and development. He urged stakeholders and residents to take responsibility for the projects and ensure their proper maintenance. According to him, well-maintained roads are vital for connecting people, businesses, farmers, and communities to essential services like markets, schools, and healthcare facilities.
Some of the newly commissioned roads include Garba Ja Abdulkadir road, Bissau road, Unguwan Muazu Township roads, Water Intake road, and others. Governor Sani also revealed plans to commission an additional 12 roads in the second quarter of 2025, including a significant 5.525km road connecting Airport Road to Tudun Biri Community. He emphasized his administration’s commitment to completing 70 road projects covering 770 kilometers across the three senatorial districts of Kaduna State, with some already finished and others progressing steadily.
The governor’s focus remains on transforming the state’s infrastructure to enhance the lives of its citizens and drive progress for the future.
