Kano Assembly confirms seven commissioner nominees

The Kano State House of Assembly recently confirmed seven nominees put forward by the state governor for screening as members of the state executive council. The confirmation came after an extensive three and a half-hour screening process, during which the nominees were unanimously accepted as Commissioners-designate. The Speaker, Jibril Falgore, made the announcement of the confirmation at the plenary, citing the resolution of the lawmakers at the ad-hoc committee.

In a surprise addition, Nura Iro Ma’aji was included among the initial nominees. Notable among those confirmed were former Chief of Staff, Shehu Wada Sagaji, and other appointees such as Abdulkadir Abdulsalam, Gaddafi Sani Shehu, Ibrahim Wayya, Dr. Dahiru Hashim Muhammad, and Dr. Ismail Aliyu Dannaraya.

Expressing gratitude, Ibrahim Wayya stated, “I’ll forever remain appreciative to the will of the Almighty Allah in my entire life,” while Shehu Sagagi remarked, “The will of the Almighty Allah has prevailed following his successful screening and subsequent confirmation as a Kano State Commissioner.”
