A group known as Concerned Igbo Ministers Commission has expressed concerns about the ongoing detention of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, stating that it is a malevolent plot against the Igbo people.
In a statement released by the President/Coordinator and General Secretary, the group accuses South-East governors of colluding to keep the leader in custody for political gains. They call on various stakeholders to unite and denounce this injustice.
The group questions the legality of Kanu’s detention, highlighting discrepancies in the legal process and raising suspicions about political motivations behind his continued imprisonment.
Allegations are made against the governors of the South-East region, accusing them of a conspiracy to detain Kanu for their own political agenda. The group appeals to the international community and concerned individuals to intervene for Kanu’s release.
The group emphasizes the importance of seeking peaceful resolutions and urges stakeholders to reject any schemes aimed at harming the Igbo people. They call for solidarity in condemning the actions against Kanu and holding those responsible accountable.
