The Katsina State Government has initiated the distribution of cash grants and food supplies to 7,220 widows and underprivileged women in the state as part of its social welfare program. Governor Dikko Radda launched the initiative at the Government House in Katsina by distributing 25kg bags of rice and N10,000 cash assistance to 840 women from various local government areas. This effort underscores the government’s dedication to assisting vulnerable groups in society. The program aims to uplift widows and underprivileged women by providing them with resources to enhance their economic and social well-being. The beneficiaries are encouraged to utilize the support wisely to improve their lives and contribute to the state’s development. The distribution will reach women in all 34 local government areas, with 20 women from each ward selected for assistance.
