The Commissioner of Police in Kogi State, Miller Dantawaye, has urged religious leaders to work together with law enforcement to maintain peace and bolster security in the state. His call came during a meeting with a delegation from the Council of Ulama, Kogi State, at the Command Headquarters in Lokoja, the state capital. The visit aimed to strengthen community relations, foster dialogue, and offer prayers for peace and security in the region.
Dantawaye emphasized that ensuring security in Kogi State is a joint effort that requires collaboration between the police and religious leaders. He praised the council for its role in conflict resolution and community engagement, urging them to continue promoting unity among people regardless of their religious or ethnic backgrounds. Dantawaye acknowledged the importance of prayers in guiding security operations and expressed gratitude for the council’s support.
