Kwara creates two new ministries

The Kwara State Executive Council has recently given approval for the establishment of two new ministries in the state, namely the Ministry of Livestock Development and the Ministry of Transportation, bringing the total number of ministries to 22. This decision was made to enhance efficiency and align governance with the state’s developmental priorities. The Ministry of Livestock Development was separated from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to focus on improving food security and livestock farming across the state’s 16 local government areas. The Ministry of Transportation was also created by separating it from the Ministry of Works and Transport to manage transportation more effectively and ensure smooth mobility for residents. Additionally, the Kwara State Road Traffic Management Agency will now fall under the Ministry of Transportation. These changes aim to strengthen governance and improve public service delivery in Kwara State.
