Kwara gov names monarch as 2025 Amirul Hajj

The governor of Kwara State has appointed the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Ismail Alebiosu, to lead the state delegation for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. Alebiosu, who was recently named as the Chancellor of the State University of Education, will be leading the state contingent for this year’s holy journey.

In addition to this appointment, the governor also announced the appointment of Alhaji Lateef Oloyin as the new Principal Private Secretary to the Governor. Professor Raheem Adaramaja has been renewed as the chairman of Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board.

Oloyin, a close associate of the governor, brings a wealth of experience as a community leader and politician to his new role. He holds an MBA from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, and a Higher National Diploma in Banking and Finance from Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin. Oloyin specializes in advanced economics, taxation, and organization behavior and management.

Professor Raheem Adaramaja, who has been reappointed as the chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, has been instrumental in implementing reforms and infrastructure projects across basic schools in the state. He was first appointed in 2019 and had his tenure renewed for a second term earlier this year.
