Recently, 54 individuals were apprehended by the Lagos State Government in Lekki and Victoria Island during overnight enforcement operations.
This action was taken in line with the government’s dedication to maintaining public safety and ensuring adherence to environmental and social regulations.
According to a statement by the Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, the enforcement team carried out raids at various locations including Emma Abimbola Cole Street, Admiralty Way, Chevron Drive, Ligali Ayorinde, Alfred Rewane, and other identified areas.
“Throughout the night, our enforcement team patrolled crucial areas in Lekki and Victoria Island, apprehending 54 individuals for breaching regulations. These actions are part of our continuous efforts to maintain order, ensure public safety, and enforce compliance with Lagos’ environmental and social standards,” Wahab stated.
