The Bauchi State Police Command recently apprehended a 20-year-old individual, Safiyanu Dalhatu, for allegedly causing the death of his mother. The incident was reported by the Peace and Security Committee members in the Abujan Kwata area to the ‘A’ Divisional Police Headquarters. Safiyanu Dalhatu, a resident of Abujan Kwata, reportedly assaulted his mother, Salama Abdullahi, resulting in severe injuries. The victim was taken to a hospital where she was confirmed deceased. The suspect has been captured, and the weapon used in the assault has been recovered. The State Commissioner of Police has ordered a thorough investigation into the matter, with the aim of prosecuting the suspect once the investigation is complete.
