A man in Edo State has been apprehended by the police for the alleged murder of his four-year-old son. The suspect, identified as Theophilus Osazuwa, is believed to have committed the heinous act while under the influence of hard drugs.
According to the police spokesperson, Moses Yamu, the incident took place around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the suspect’s residence in Benin City. Osazuwa, upon his return home, reportedly entered a trance-like state and proceeded to grab his son, whom he then slammed against a wall, resulting in the child’s tragic death.
The Edo Police Command confirmed the arrest of Osazuwa and emphasized the dangers of drug abuse, warning youths about the harmful impacts of illicit substances on both personal health and public safety.
