Mohbad’s ally denies hiding information about singer’s death

Ayobami Sodiq, also known as Spending, a close friend of Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, has clarified his statements regarding the last time he saw the late singer before his death. There was some confusion surrounding the timing of their last meeting, with Sodiq now stating that it was between 11 am and 12 pm, not 9 pm as previously mentioned.

Sodiq explained that after being wrongly accused of being at Mohbad’s house on the day of his passing and detained at a police station, he was under immense emotional distress, which led to inconsistencies in his earlier statements. He emphasized that he had left Mohbad’s house between 3 pm and 4 pm on September 11, 2023, aligning with his testimony at the coroner’s inquest.

He apologized for any confusion caused and denied engaging in any discussions about Mohbad’s death with social media influencers during his time in custody, except for one named Westo and his assistant. Sodiq dismissed claims of existing audio recordings and text messages related to these alleged conversations as false.

Expressing his ongoing grief over Mohbad’s passing, Sodiq reiterated his plea for justice and urged authorities to ensure that those responsible for Mohbad’s death are held accountable.
