My captors shot two children dead for walking slowly– 26-year-old undergraduate

In a heart-wrenching account, a student from the School of Health in Makarfi, Zaria, shares her harrowing experience of being abducted and held captive. She was traveling from Zaria to Funtua when she was kidnapped by armed men posing as passengers in a car. The ordeal lasted for 13 days in a remote forest location.

During captivity, the abducted individuals were subjected to extreme conditions, including inadequate food, chained hands and legs, and brutal beatings. The kidnappers demanded a hefty ransom for her release, which was eventually negotiated down to a more manageable amount by her family.

After enduring physical and emotional trauma, she was eventually released by the kidnappers and found her way to safety. Suffering from the aftermath of the ordeal, she now undergoes therapy to cope with the trauma and seeks solace in the support of her family and faith.

Despite the challenges faced, she expresses gratitude for her survival, the support of her loved ones, and the chance to seek forgiveness and reconciliation with her family. The experience has left a lasting impact on her, but she remains resilient and hopeful for better days ahead.
