My lifestyle reflected in music— Seyi Vibez

A well-known artist, Oluwaloseyi Balogun, who goes by the stage name Seyi Vibez, expressed that his music is a reflection of his personal life.

During an interview on Apple Music’s Africa Now Radio with Nandi Madida, Seyi Vibez emphasized the role of an entertainer in entertaining audiences both locally and internationally. He shared, “I believe that as an entertainer, my primary job is to entertain. My music is a reflection of my lifestyle, which includes luxury cars and a house. Coming from humble beginnings, that’s the essence of my music – my story is in every song I create.”

Discussing his latest EP, Children of Africa, Seyi Vibez revealed his experimental approach, aiming for lively beats that are not conventional. He desired music that resonated with his energetic vibe and mentioned recording a song in London that captured this essence.

He elaborated on the inspiration behind one of the tracks, Happy Song, stating, “The song reflects my thoughts about Africa, particularly Mama Africa. The upbeat tempo of the house beat represents the joy and resilience of African children. This idea shaped the title of the EP, symbolizing the enduring happiness found within African communities despite various challenges.”
