Share a bit about your early years.
I was born in Oguta, Imo State, and grew up in Oguta Ameshi in the Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State. My educational journey began at Oguta Primary School, followed by Federal Government Girls’ College in Gusau, Zamfara State, where I completed my Senior Secondary School education. I then pursued Quantity Surveying at Federal Polytechnic in Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State, earning an Ordinary National Diploma. Additionally, I obtained a certificate in Computer Science from Business Solution International in Kano.
I furthered my studies at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Kaduna State, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying. I completed my National Youth Service Corps in Abuja, serving as a Quantity Surveyor. Subsequently, I obtained a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Calabar and pursued another Master’s degree in Facility Management at ABU, Zaria. I later earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Construction Management from Glasgow Caledonian University, specializing in Public-Private Partnerships, and attended the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies in Kuru.
How has your experience been as a queen?
Indeed, I am married to His Royal Majesty, Eze Sir Ifeanyi Eke, and we have been married for over two decades. He hails from Lokpanta in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State. Our union has been blessed with children.
Can you recount how you met your husband?
Our first encounter at a morning mass was unexpected yet memorable. Despite my casual attire, my husband approached me, expressing concern for my well-being. This eventually led to him proposing to me, which took me by surprise. After careful consideration and prayer, we embarked on our journey together, culminating in our marriage in 2001.
How would you describe your husband?
His Royal Majesty, my husband, epitomizes fatherhood with his unwavering support, love, and leadership. His role as a pillar of our family and community serves as a constant inspiration to me.
How do you balance your professional and family life?
Maintaining balance between my career and family life involves setting boundaries, delegating tasks when necessary, and being fully present in each moment. Prioritizing self-care, seeking support from loved ones, and remaining adaptable are key components in achieving this equilibrium.
What has influenced your career growth the most?
My relentless pursuit of knowledge and continuous self-improvement has been the primary driving force behind my career development. Each educational milestone has expanded my horizons and equipped me with the tools to tackle complex challenges within the construction and infrastructure sectors.
