Reflecting on the transition from 2024 to 2025, it’s essential to acknowledge personal growth and achievements. In my journey, learning to edit and post videos online, particularly on my YouTube channel, stood out as a significant milestone.
While traveling in North America in January 2023, I encountered the widespread popularity of Nigerian Afrobeats. Inspired, I captured some moments on my phone and later created a YouTube channel to share these snippets. However, lacking video editing skills hindered me from fully documenting my experiences.
In mid-2024, with the help of my son, I ventured into editing videos and gradually honed my skills. Despite initial challenges, I delved into posting content on grammar and pronunciation, embracing the power of video communication in today’s digital age.
The global shift towards video communication, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, underscored the importance of leveraging video platforms for outreach and engagement. Recognizing this trend, I finally overcame my hesitations and embarked on my YouTube journey.
Embracing imperfection and continuous learning, I aim to expand my channel’s content to include insightful analyses on political and contemporary issues, interviews, and features on noteworthy individuals. Through this endeavor, I seek to share knowledge in a more accessible and engaging format.
For those hesitant to start a long-desired venture due to perceived unpreparedness or fear of failure, I encourage taking a leap of faith in 2025. Success often stems from consistent effort and a willingness to learn along the way.
