A collaborative effort between the National Insurance Commission and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has led to the establishment of a joint committee focused on aviation-related issues. The committee was officially launched at the NAICOM Office in Abuja during a visit by a delegation from the NCAA. The main aim of this committee is to reinforce the commitment to protecting the interests of policyholders in the aviation sector.
During the inauguration, representatives highlighted the importance of regulating insurance activities within the industry and ensuring policyholders’ interests are safeguarded. The joint Technical Committee has been tasked with responsibilities such as reviewing insurance certificates, providing technical support, addressing complaints from airline operators, and conducting training programs on aviation insurance.
The committee members are dedicated to fulfilling their duties and achieving the set objectives. They are committed to working together to enhance the aviation insurance sector for the benefit of all stakeholders involved.
