The National Assembly Service Commission has appointed Kamoru Ogunlana as the new Clerk to the National Assembly, succeeding the outgoing Clerk, Mr. Sani Magaji Tambuwal, who has retired. The appointment, effective from 2nd February 2025, was confirmed in a letter signed by the Commission’s Executive Chairman, Engr. Ahmed Amshi. This decision was made during the Commission’s 610th meeting held on 6th November 2024. Ogunlana’s dedication and administrative skills were highlighted in the letter, urging him to work diligently to uphold the trust placed in him. Prior to this appointment, Ogunlana held the position of Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly. A separate letter from the Commission also recognized the contributions of the outgoing Clerk, Tambuwal, to the National Assembly Service and outlined the transition plan for Ogunlana to assume his new role smoothly.
