The Niger Delta Development Commission has provided communication equipment to aid the Rivers State Police Command in enhancing their efforts to combat crime within the state. The donation signifies a commitment to supporting security forces in the Niger Delta region. The equipment provided has significantly improved communication coverage across the state, making it easier to coordinate and monitor criminal activities.
Previous donations from the NDDC, such as residential quarters, barracks, and vehicles for senior officers, were also acknowledged by the police. The former Commissioner of Police for Rivers State, Olatunji Disu, thanked the NDDC for their continued support, emphasizing the importance of effective communication in policing operations.
The donated gadgets include repeaters, base sets, walkie-talkies, and a rehabilitated mast, all of which will contribute to enhancing the operational efficiency of the Rivers State Police Command.
