NDLEA busts drug kingpins, suspects excrete 125 heroin wraps

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has made significant arrests at Port Harcourt International Airport and Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. Two suspected drug kingpins were apprehended for trafficking heroin, totaling 125 wraps. The arrests were confirmed by NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi.

One of the suspects, a 30-year-old named Sylvanus, was caught in Port Harcourt using a dual identity to evade detection. He was found with a Sierra Leonean passport under a different name and had ingested illicit drugs. The other suspect, Chinoso, aged 48, was arrested in Lagos after returning from Madagascar with heroin in his system.

Additionally, NDLEA operatives intercepted synthetic cannabis and pentazocine injection destined for Lagos, as well as tramadol pills hidden in a gas cylinder in Kano. Other operations led to the confiscation of cannabis blocks and synthetic cannabis parcels. The agency has pledged to continue its efforts to combat drug syndicates nationwide.
