New police commissioner resumes in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Police Command recently introduced its new Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Rabiu, who has officially taken up his role. Rabiu, the 45th Commissioner of Police in Kaduna, has assumed the position following the promotion of Ibrahim Abdullahi to Assistant Inspector-General of Police. Described as a seasoned officer with a wealth of experience and known for his professionalism, Rabiu’s career highlights include holding various strategic roles since joining the Nigeria Police Force in 1994.

Born on July 16, 1969, in Ketare District, Kankara LGA, Katsina State, CP Rabiu has served in significant roles such as Divisional Police Officer in different areas within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. Additionally, he has held positions like Assistant Commissioner of Police in Taraba State and Police Component Commander of Operation Delta Safe in Yenagoa. Rabiu has also led critical tactical units in various locations across the country.

With high expectations accompanying his appointment, Rabiu is trusted to enhance security and community involvement in Kaduna State. Holding a Master’s degree in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Rabiu is recognized for his operational leadership skills, intelligence-based crime strategies, and efforts in strengthening police-community relationships. The Kaduna Police Command has expressed confidence in Rabiu’s dedication to service and believes that his leadership will prioritize combating crime and ensuring the safety of residents in the state.
