In Berger, Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps apprehended nine individuals for engaging in open defecation. The Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, shared the incident. Previously, 17 individuals were arrested for similar offenses, including open urination and not using the pedestrian bridge. The state government is firm on its zero-tolerance policy towards open defecation to ensure a cleaner and healthier environment. Efforts include the cleanup of the Ojodu-Berger highway median to discourage such practices.
