Nnamdi Kanu’s trial to resume March 21

In a recent development, the trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has been slated for Friday, March 21, by Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja. This decision came after the case file was reassigned to Justice Omotosho. Kanu is facing a seven-count terrorism charge from the Federal Government. The case was reassigned to Justice Omotosho following the recusal of the previous presiding judge, Justice Binta Nyako, due to allegations of bias raised by Kanu and his legal team. Despite initial resistance, the case has now been officially reassigned to Justice Omotosho, and proceedings are scheduled to continue on the specified date.
