NSCDC deploys 2,106 personnel ahead of Katsina LG poll Saturday

The Katsina State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has mobilized 2,106 personnel to oversee peacekeeping and safeguard vital national assets during the upcoming local government elections in the state. This deployment was announced by the Command’s Public Relations Officer in a statement released in Katsina. The Commandant of the Corps issued the Operational Order emphasizing the commitment to safety and security during a meeting with the Senior Management Team. The strategies highlighted include surveillance, intelligence gathering, community engagement, and collaboration. Officers were tasked with ensuring coordinated patrols and security operations, maintaining professionalism, and cooperating with other security agencies for smooth elections. Intensive surveillance and protection of government facilities were also emphasized. Undercover operatives were strategically placed to gather intelligence and prevent criminal activities. The public was urged to report any suspicious activities, while the people of Katsina State were encouraged to abide by the law for a peaceful election process.
