NSCDC rescues minor, detains two suspected child traffickers in Abia

The Abia State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps recently announced the arrest of two suspects involved in child-trafficking and abduction in Aba town. The suspects, identified as a 24-year-old individual and a 20-year-old individual, were apprehended following credible intelligence. During the operation, a three-year-old girl was rescued. Investigations revealed that one of the suspects was introduced to the other by an individual who is now at large. The NSCDC Commandant in the state emphasized the commitment of the command to eradicate criminal activities. Upon completion of the investigation, the case will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for prosecution. Parents were urged to prioritize the proper upbringing of their children.
