OAU graduate dies despite N9.4m cancer treatment

A 31-year-old graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, passed away after a battle with renal cancer, despite a fundraising effort that raised N9.4 million for his treatment.

The news of Oluwafemi’s death was shared by a Lagos-based public analyst, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to his treatment fund.

The analyst also mentioned a social media campaign and fundraising efforts that helped cover a significant portion of Oluwafemi’s medical expenses.

Oluwafemi, a business analyst from Lagos, graduated from OAU in 2015 and faced health challenges related to renal cancer, which led to financial difficulties despite the support he received.
