A former Deputy Governor of Edo State commended the current Governor for successfully securing federal government support in his first 100 days in office, a feat he believed was not accomplished by the previous administration. He mentioned that this achievement would allow for more projects in the state as it frees up resources.
The former Deputy Governor praised the current Governor for engaging with the federal government, a strategy that was not pursued during his own time in office. He emphasized the importance of this engagement in driving development at a faster pace.
He acknowledged that previous administrations had good intentions but were sometimes hindered by political interests. Reflecting on his own experience, he stressed the significance of supporting and praying for leaders to prevent negative influences.
Despite the fallout between the former allies during the 2024 governorship election, the current Governor emerged victorious and continues to receive support.
