The 2023 Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Deputy Chief Whip of the House of Representatives representing the Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency of Ogun State, Adewunmi Onanuga.
In a statement shared on Friday, he mourned her loss as a significant blow not only to her immediate family and colleagues but also to the entire nation.
He said:
“I received with great sadness the news of the demise of the Deputy Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Adewunmi Onanuga.
“Her passing is a profound loss, impacting not just her family and peers but also the nation as a whole, considering her outstanding contributions to the Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North constituency of Ogun State and her legislative service.
“On behalf of myself and the Obidient family, I offer my sincere condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues in the National Assembly. May the Almighty grant her eternal peace and provide comfort to her loved ones during this challenging period.”
