The Governor of Kogi State, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser, congratulated the All Progressives Congress candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on his victory in the Edo State Governorship election. The governor expressed prayers for the governor-elect’s successful leadership and development of the state. Senator Okpebholo emerged victorious with 291,667 votes, defeating his closest rival. Governor Ododo commended the peaceful conduct of the election and the electorate for their choice. He also praised the professionalism of INEC and law enforcement agencies. The governor reiterated the APC’s commitment to prioritize the welfare of the people and ensure inclusive development. He expressed intentions to strengthen ties between Kogi and Edo states. The Governor extended his best wishes for the successful tenure of the Edo state Governor-elect.
