The former principal of Timi Agbale Grammar School, Ede, Osun State, was recently honored by the school’s Old Students’ Association, 45 years after he left his position. The association decided to name the refurbished school hall after the former principal, Chief Joseph Opatola, who served from 1975 to 1980. During the event at the school hall, the association’s President praised Opatola as a mentor and father figure to the students. The decision to honor Opatola was made in recognition of his significant impact during his time at the school. Opatola expressed joy and gratitude for being alive to witness the occasion and appreciated the Alumni Association for the rare honor and privilege bestowed upon him.
