After emerging victorious in the recent Ondo State governorship election, the newly elected governor has pledged to lead an all-inclusive government. He urged opposition candidates to join hands in supporting his administration for the progress of the state.
The Independent National Electoral Commission’s Returning Officer, Prof Olayemi Akinwumi, officially declared the winner of the election, stating that the All Progressives Congress candidate secured 366,781 votes, surpassing other contenders. The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party came in second with 117,845 votes, while the African Democratic Congress candidate trailed with 4,138 votes.
In his address, the governor-elect promised to prioritize the welfare of the people, promote economic growth, and ensure a prosperous future for Ondo State. He extended an invitation to opposition parties to collaborate for the betterment of the state.
Highlighting his extensive campaign efforts, the governor-elect emphasized his commitment to visiting all 18 Local Government Areas of the state to understand the needs and aspirations of the citizens. He assured the people of fulfilling his promises within the available resources.
