In light of Nigeria’s current economic challenges, a prominent member of the Labour Party, Henry Mbachu, emphasized the importance of a people-centric political party in addressing the country’s economic crisis.
Mbachu, who represents the Akwa South state constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, expressed his belief that the Labour Party offers a new hope for Nigeria’s progress, distinguishing itself from other parties that have fallen short in serving the nation.
He urged party members to unite and strengthen the party’s position to compete successfully in upcoming elections nationwide.
Mbachu stressed the grassroots origins of the Labour Party, emphasizing its commitment to serving the people and resisting internal corruption that could undermine its purpose.
Regarding internal party issues, Mbachu voiced support for a reconciliation committee led by Senator Nenadi Usman, confident that it can effectively address and resolve any challenges within the party.
He praised the efforts of party leaders like Mr. Peter Obi and Governor Alex Otti in driving initiatives to address party concerns, citing a recent stakeholders meeting in Umuahia as a positive step towards unity and progress.
Mbachu expressed optimism that the committee, with its capable members, will successfully navigate the party’s issues within the stipulated timeframe, acknowledging the dedication of Governor Otti in steering the party towards a brighter future.
