A football defender named Bruno Onyemaechi has recently made a move to Greek champions Olympiacos FC from Boavista in Portugal, as announced by the Greek club on their website. The 25-year-old player, who previously played for Boavista, has shown his skills by making 77 appearances, scoring five goals, and providing three assists during his time at the Portuguese club. This season alone, he has played in 18 matches, contributing three goals and one assist.
Onyemaechi, known for his versatility as a wing back and advanced midfielder, signed a four-year deal with Olympiacos for a transfer fee of €2.5m. The defender’s move to Olympiacos came after competing bids from Benfica and Fenerbahce.
Having joined Boavista in 2023 and made a significant impact in a short time, Onyemaechi has also been a key player for the Nigerian national team, earning 11 caps and participating in the Africa Cup of Nations. His transfer to Olympiacos signifies a new chapter in his career, offering him the chance to elevate his game on a bigger stage.
With Onyemaechi’s addition to the team, Olympiacos aims to strengthen its squad for upcoming challenges both in domestic competitions and on the European front.
