Osun promises free return train ride for holidaymakers

The government of Osun State has assured travelers who used its free train service from Lagos of a smooth return trip arrangement. The Commissioner for Commerce, Mr. Bunmi Jenyo, made this pledge while welcoming the second group of passengers at the Osogbo train station through the ‘Imole Free Train Service’. Jenyo confirmed that plans are in place for their return journey on Thursday.

He expressed satisfaction with the positive feedback received from the beneficiaries and ensured that preparations have been completed for their trip back to Lagos and other destinations. The commissioner reiterated the commitment of the Adeleke administration to prioritize the well-being of the people, regardless of the expenses involved.

One of the beneficiaries, Abigail from Oyan, Osun State, commended the initiative and urged its continuation. She emphasized the significant impact it has had on the lives of those who have benefited from it. The free train service is not only for travelers heading to Osun but also for those going to other states, especially during festive seasons, as highlighted in a statement by the Information Officer of the Ministry of Commerce, Ademiotan Adegbulugbe.
