Plans to update industrial policies to align with modern innovations and Artificial Intelligence were also mentioned, reflecting the administration’s agenda of boosting the economy through agro-based industrialization for job creation and wealth generation. The emphasis on local content development and empowering local contractors to handle significant projects aims to strengthen the local economy and reduce capital flight. Additionally, the state Commissioner for Commerce and Industry underscored the importance of diversifying from oil dependency and transitioning Osun State into an industrial hub from its civil service-oriented past.
