The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has given the green light for the appointment of 902 officers into various roles within the state’s civil service. This recruitment drive, described as unprecedented in Oyo State’s history, encompasses around 60 different positions in different Ministries, Departments, and Agencies. Among the positions are Education Officers for 35 teaching subjects under the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology.
The announcement was made by the Chairman of the Oyo State Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Kamoru Abiodun Aderibigbe. He mentioned that successful candidates will receive their offer letters by the end of January 2025. Aderibigbe commended Governor Makinde for his remarkable achievements in infrastructure, education, agriculture, and healthcare, emphasizing the significant impact of this recruitment on the state.
He urged the new appointees and the general population to recognize and appreciate the Governor’s leadership. Aderibigbe expressed hopes for divine blessings to reward Governor Makinde’s generosity. He highlighted the recruitment as a crucial step towards the overall development of Oyo State across various sectors.
